Season of Hope!

We live in a time when good news seems to escape us. Whether it be a
persistent pandemic, relentless inflation, random shootings, wars and
threats of world war, or degrading morals, we live in troubling times.
It
was troubling times 2000 years ago on a Friday, when the followers of
Jesus saw their Lord arrested, condemned, whipped, taunted, and
ultimately nailed to a splintery instrument of torture. The day got even
worse when Jesus cried out, hung His head, and died. The unthinkable
had happened and all hope seemed to be lost.
It's
easy for us to also get caught up in the chaos of this life and lose
hope. But as it turns out, God does His best work when all hope appears
to be gone!
As Jesus was
taken off the cross, He was placed into a tomb where His future appeared
to be sealed. But then Sunday came! And early that glorious morning,
hope was born again! The greatest miracle ever resulted in the
resurrection of the One who came to defeat death with His own.
The
world may seemed more hopeless with every passing day, but let us never
forget that our hope is from out of this world. It may be night time
now, but a new day is soon to break!
The Bible says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalms 30:5
May this Easter holiday remind you we have much to hope for, Jesus is alive and coming soon!
