Spring Has Sprung!

My body always knows when Spring is upon us because my allergies ignite. This week, I had to take my first Zyrtec of the season to help relieve my symptoms. As it turns out, Spring officially began on Tuesday of this week.
Spring is an exciting time of year as we leave the cold and dreary days of winter and enter the season of new buds, blooms, leaves, grass, and growth! We can see, hear, and smell the signs of Spring. In Spring, all nature comes alive in vibrant ways to display the evidence of life.
The same is true when it comes to Jesus! “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
As we gaze upon the birth of Spring all around, may we be reminded that Jesus promises to bring newness of life to each one of His followers. He promises to transform our minds, grow our characters, bloom our hearts, and give us buds that lead to fruitfulness in our lives.
In this season of Spring, when the garden is also planted, may we faithfully spend time with the Grower, allowing him to till our soil, water and feed us, and prune us as we grow up into beautiful followers of His. Happy Spring!
