Goodbye Friend

Goodbye Friend

Most of us are still reeling from the shocking news that our sweet sister, Sally Nam, has fallen asleep. The always smiling, always friendly and always serving Sally touched each one of us in ways that we will never forget. She exemplified Jesus with an attitude of love, kindness and gentleness. Sally had a way of making you feel like you were one of her best friends, yet she had so many best friends. Sally always had time to listen, and a heart to help. And Sally was so much more!

Sally also reminds us that life is fragile and our days are few. We are not guaranteed tomorrow. That is why the Bible tells us to live our life as though today will be our last.

Moses wrote, “Teach us to number our days” and David penned, “Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die.” Psalms 90:12; 103:15

As we try and accept this new reality, our minds are still numb. How could someone so young and vibrant now be gone? It’s not a question I can answer. But there is a person we can go to for all the answers. Jesus once said, and I paraphrase, “Do not let your heart be troubled, because I am coming back.” One day soon, Jesus is coming back to reunite us with Sally. What a day of rejoicing it will be! What a promise, what a hope!

Provided below are the dates and times for Sally’s services:

As we consider with fondness our many memories of Sally, may we also take great comfort in knowing her best friend was Jesus. And may Jesus be yours as well!
