Tactile Worship!

Can you believe it’s been nearly two years since we last washed one
another’s feet? The pandemic has prevented us from experiencing one of
our most sacred rituals, but this Sabbath we celebrate communion in the
fullest sense.
After serving one another on our
knees in foot washing, we will experience the Upper Room as Jesus did
with His disciples. Our series “Deep Calling” will conclude with a
reminder of our Savior’s sacrifice and what He requires from us.
Communion
is an extra special worship event because we experience Christ with all
five of our senses. As we serve like Jesus, in foot washing, and as we
consume Christ, with the bread and juice, we are reminded that He longs
to dwell inside of us. No other worship service is more tactile and
profound.
To make this Sabbath extra
meaningful, let’s make preparation! The Bible tells us to search our
hearts, make right our differences, confess our sins, and then come and
worship Jesus with a humble heart.
Therefore,
if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your
brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in
front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and
offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24
Hope to see you this Sabbath as we literally taste and see that the Lord is good!!
Blessings!
