Looking Back and Forward

One of my favorite Ellen White quotations is this: "We have nothing to fear for the future except as we shall forget the way the Lord led us, in our past." Earlier this week, your church held a Business Meeting reviewing how the Lord has blessed us in 2022. If you missed the meeting, here's what was shared:
1. Some of the ways the Lord led us in 2022:
2. Began the new year with 10 consecutive days of prayer in January!
3. Prayed for Samuel D'Autruche, 23, who was on his deathbed! Samuel was healed and shared his testimony at church last June.
4. Reopened Descoveryland Preschool which was closed due to the pandemic.
5. Prayed and the Lord led us to a new principal (Dr. Philip Williams) and seven (7) new teachers at Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy.
6. Broadcasted live a 3ABN evangelistic series with Pastor John Lomacang, resulting in church revival and many seeds planted for Jesus.
7. Hosted four special concerts including Heritage Singers and Committed Acapella Group.
8. Attended a Leoni Meadows Chruch Retreat (160+ in attendance) with guest speaker Calvin Kim.
9. Hosted a health seminar with Dr. Roger Gallant (Director of Weimar Institute) on ways to boost immunity and stay healthy.
10. Launched a new outreach ministry to the unsheltered in our area called SALT Outreach.
11. Received a record sum of Tithes and Offerings brought into the storehouse! The church family budget was in the black for 2022!
12. Baptized 21 individuals in 2022!
During our Business Meeting, we also shared some of the plans for growth, outreach and evangelism in 2023. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to be fishers of men. Each one of us was brought to Jesus by someone. Our theme this year is: Everyone Bring One! Please be praying about whom you can invite to the following events:
1. Church Events Planned in 2023:
2. 10 Days of Prayer in January (already occurred).
3. Relaunch Small Groups Chruchwide.
4. Prayer Summit, with Melody Mason, May 12 & 13.
5. Health Initiatives - Cooking School and Physician Guest Speaker.
6. Musical Concerts - Fountainview Adventist Academy & others.
7. Vacation Bible School - June 2023.
8. Special Evangelism Outreach Event - Messiah's Mansion (Sanctuary Replica with tours) - July 28 - August 6.
9. Financial Peace University - Dave Ramsey Group Class - Fall, 2023.
10. Leoni Meadows Church Retreat - September 15-17, 2023.
11. Expand the SALT Outreach ministry to include a Shower Trailer (as funds are raised) to serve the unsheltered.
As we embark on 2023, we trust the Lord will continue to help The Hill come closer to Christ, closer to each other, and help others draw closer to Him! Thanks for your continued support in sharing your talents, time, treasure, and most of all, your prayers!
