Reconnecting!

Loneliness
was a problem in America before the pandemic. But now after two years
of shutdowns, closures, isolation, social distancing, and masking, the
trauma of protecting our health has significantly affected our
connectedness.
With the
pandemic losing steam, we see life returning as it once was. The
question is, are we returning to what we once were? Are we reconnecting?
Are we inviting people over to our homes? Are we reaching out to those
we haven’t seen for a while? It’s very exciting to see members of our
church returning who we haven’t seen since the pandemic began. Let’s be
sure to let them know we have missed them.
As
we return to life as it was pre-pandemic, may we be intentional about
reconnecting. And may we also be mindful of connecting with the many new
people now attending our church. While the Lord has led several
families to move away, God has also brought many new families. It always
warms my heart to learn of members inviting to their homes those who
are new to our church.
May the Lord continue to grow us closer to Him and one another as we intentionally reconnect as the family of God at The Hill!
24
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good
deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of
doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day
approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
