College Days Are Back!

Colleges and universities are opening their classroom doors once again, and many of our young people are beginning a new chapter in their lives. This Sabbath, we have the privilege of dedicating them to the Lord and surrounding them with our prayers.
Whether they are stepping onto a college campus for the first time or returning as experienced students, our young people are facing more choices, opportunities, and decisions than ever before. They need wisdom, and they need our prayers.
One of the most important choices they will make is whom they choose to spend their time with. Scripture reminds us that our friendships have a powerful influence on the people we become. The friends we walk with can strengthen our faith or slowly pull us away from the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:33 says, “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’”
And Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
As our young people travel to colleges and universities, or remain here locally to continue their education, may they choose their friends wisely, guard their hearts, and seek the Lord’s direction in every decision.
May God bless our young people, guide their steps, and prepare them for the calling and purpose He has placed upon their lives.
