Love Sabbath

This Sabbath, while the world celebrates Valentine’s Day, we’re taking time to celebrate something even better—the love of God! As Sabbath keepers, we remember that God is love, and that the very One who created love is always inviting us closer to Himself.

The Bible tells us:

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” 1 John 4:16

The theme for this Sabbath is simply love. And what better way to experience God’s love in action than by witnessing a baptism? We’re excited to share that Ava Yoshioka will be baptized, joyfully sharing her love for Jesus and her decision to be born again!

What makes this day even more meaningful is that Ava’s baptism will take place on her 13th birthday, marking both her physical birth and her spiritual rebirth on the same day.

To make the service even more meaningful, we will have two special music selections by Ava, Lucy, and Vera Yoshioka, and Ellie Bunn, followed by our church choir. Their music will help set the tone for a Sabbath filled with praise and gratitude for our loving Lord!

After the service, everyone is invited to stay for a celebration meal, as we come together to rejoice in Ava’s decision to follow Jesus.

We hope you’ll join us for this special Sabbath, a day filled with worship, fellowship, and the reminder that we are deeply loved by God.
