Never forget!

Never forget!

The human mind is remarkable, yet we have a tendency to forget. Where did I put my keys? What was that person’s name? When was that important date? Forgetting isn’t necessarily a sign of a weak memory—it’s simply part of being human.

That’s why we celebrate certain events—to ensure we never forget what truly matters. The Fourth of July reminds us of our nation’s fight for freedom. MLK Day calls us to remember the pursuit of justice. Anniversaries and birthdays help us cherish the people and moments that shape our lives. These occasions are meant to keep us mindful of what’s important.

But among all the things we strive to remember, nothing is more important than what Jesus did for us on the Cross. His sacrifice—giving His life for our sins—is beyond comprehension. We believe and hope in Him, but in the rush of daily life, we can still forget.

That’s why Jesus gave us a way to remember: "And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’” Luke 22:19

This Sabbath, you are invited once again to the table—to pause, reflect, and remember. We join the disciples in recalling the greatest act of love ever shown. Jesus shed His blood for you and me, and that truth must never be forgotten.

Come prepared to celebrate communion. Ask the Lord to cleanse your heart, to turn from sin, to forgive those who have wronged you, and to bring greater peace into your relationships. May the grace and blessings of Jesus be upon you as we remember together His ultimate sacrifice for our eternal destiny!

"Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.’”
John 6:53-54
