 A Reflection from Us

Most people don’t question whether Jesus existed. Historians generally agree—He walked the dusty roads of Galilee. The real question is harder: Did He really die? And if He did… did He rise?

That question has shaped our faith journeys in different ways.

One of us grew up immersed in Scripture—raised in the Adventist Church, surrounded by Bible stories, sermons, and a deep respect for God’s Word. Faith was familiar and foundational. Over time, that inherited faith had to become examined faith—something personally owned, not simply assumed.

The other came to faith much later in life, approaching Christianity with questions and a legal mindset trained to weigh evidence carefully. Belief didn’t come easily or quickly. It came through investigation—by asking hard questions and following the evidence wherever it led.

What we’ve discovered together is that faith and reason are not enemies. In fact, they often strengthen one another.

This Sabbath, we’ll be standing at Calvary—not just as believers, but as honest seekers. We’ll look at the cross through the lens of evidence, testimony, and reason. Because the case for Christ isn’t built on blind faith. It rests on what happened on that hill outside Jerusalem.

At Calvary, faith and fact meet. History records the crucifixion. Scripture proclaims a resurrection. And somewhere between the two, each of us must decide what we believe—and why.

Our journeys to the cross were different. But the cross met us both with the same invitation.

This Sabbath, we’ll explore the case for Christ at Calvary—and what the cross reveals about God, truth, and our own faith journeys. Because if Jesus truly died and rose again, then the cross isn’t just a symbol. It’s a verdict.

We look forward to sharing this time of reflection with you.
