The Family Blueprint

When our four daughters were young, and we would pile into the car for a short or long trip, without fail, my daughter Colette would look around and say, “Dad, look—it’s our whole family.”
In moments like that, it was as if God Himself whispered to my heart, “Mitch, this is your family. Cherish them. Lead them. Never take them for granted. They are my gift to you.”
Family truly is one of God’s greatest gifts—filled with joy, laughter, and love—but it can also bring some of life’s greatest challenges. Thankfully, God’s Word gives us a clear and hopeful blueprint for how to build and strengthen our families His way.
This Sabbath, we begin a new sermon series titled “The Family Blueprint.” Whether you’re a husband or wife, parent or grandparent, child or single adult, you’ll discover timeless principles for becoming a life-giving part of the family God designed. Because the family isn’t just an invention of God—it’s one of His masterpieces.
And speaking of family, our church family is growing! This Sabbath, Roni Gurule will be giving her life to Christ through baptism. What a perfect reminder of how God continues to build His family of faith. Let’s come together to celebrate this special moment and welcome Roni with open arms!
After the worship service, we’ll enjoy a potluck lunch together as we continue the celebration. I hope you’ll be there when our church gathers—to worship, to rejoice, and to thank God for the gift of family, both in our homes and in His church.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain."
Psalms 127:1
