Third Pastor!

For nearly a year and a half, Pastor Miguel and I have been praying for the Lord to lead us in our search for a third pastor. Those prayers were answered on Monday evening when the church board voted unanimously to hire Candice Tuazon. Pastor Candice will begin serving as our third pastor on August 15.
Some may wonder why we were searching for a third pastor in the first place. The short answer is that the church has grown to the point where more pastoral support is essential. Pastor Candice will serve in the capacity of discipleship and outreach. Specifically, discipleship refers to the training and development of small groups. Outreach refers to supporting ministries such as our Food Pantry and Revive Shower Trailer as well as evangelism efforts.
Pastor Candice is married to Michael and they have a son named Brighten, who is three years old. Pastor Candice offers 20 years of experience in various church ministry functions. Her skills, strengths and talents will undoubtedly enrich our pastoral team and glorify God!
Please keep the Tuazon family in your prayers as they seek a place to reside in our area. If you know of an affordable apartment or home to rent, please pass on the information to us.
Also, this Sabbath, we will celebrate with the over 200 students and volunteers who have participated in Vacation Bible School! We pastors are especially excited about those families who don’t normally attend church and who will be our guests this Sabbath to see their children sing. Please plan to join us for this special celebration worship service!
