Timing Is Everything

The temperature is hot, vacations are being taken, and camp meeting sessions are upon us. The summer is well underway.
With all the summer "busyness," I have lately been reflecting on time. Contrary to what many may think, you cannot buy time, you cannot borrow time, and certainly, you can’t make time. You can only spend or waste time.
I believe it is important to take inventory of our lives and ask where we are spending our time and, better yet, where we are wasting our time. When I do my own inventory, I come to the following conclusions:
· A good night's sleep and a balanced work schedule are essential for me.
· It’s important for me to do what I’m passionate about. I want to prioritize things I enjoy doing that brings me personal and spiritual growth.
· Lastly, take inventory of what needs to be purged out that could potentially waste time, such as TV, social media, surfing the web, etc.
As we look toward the second half of the year 2024, what are some areas in your life that you can prioritize? Maybe it’s spending more time with family or in God’s Word and prayer, or maybe God is calling you to step into a ministry. Whatever the Lord brings to your mind, I encourage you to pray as you look toward the great opportunities He has for us in this season.
God’s timing is perfect! Let us lean into the new ways God can use our passions for our growth in Him and in reaching others for His Kingdom.
