As I reflect upon the past eight years of ministry here at Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church, my heart is filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve shared together. My family and I have been deeply touched by the outpouring of love, support, and encouragement we’ve received since announcing our transition last Sabbath to Loma Linda University Church. The many emails, texts, phone calls, hugs, and heartfelt conversations over the past week have meant more to us than words can express, and we are so grateful for every kind word and prayer extended to us during this time of transition.

Serving this community has been a profound privilege and a true joy. Together, we have navigated both joyful celebrations and challenging moments, always strengthened by our shared faith and commitment to Christ. You have been a village—a family—nurturing and supporting us in ways that have shaped not only our ministry but also our lives. The Pleasant Hill community holds a special place in our hearts; it is a chapter in our lives that we will always cherish, marked by memories and bonds that we will carry with us forever.

As we look to the future and the next steps God has prepared for us in Southern California, we do so with gratitude and anticipation, trusting that His guiding hand will continue to lead. While we are excited for what lies ahead at Loma Linda University Church, we leave with full hearts, knowing that Pleasant Hill will always be home.

I share these words of hope in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." I truly believe God is working for good on both sides of this transition.

Thank you, Pleasant Hill, for being our village, family, and steadfast support. We will miss you deeply, and you will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts.

With deepest gratitude and love,

Pastor Miguel, Ashley, Annalise, & Noah
