Welcome to 2025!

Another year has arrived! As you contemplate the new year ahead, how has the Lord blessed and grown you in 2024? No doubt God has been faithful to each one of us. His hand has been upon our church, our homes and us individually. The Lord Jesus has been with us during the difficult and perplexing times. He has also shown us His grace and bounty in many areas of our lives. Take the time to reflect on the highs and lows, the good and bad, the plenty and pitiful, in 2024. Because in that reflection, we see a God who is faithful and is seeking to grow us closer to His heart and character.

One year before Ellen White’s death at the age of 87, she penned the following quotation at the beginning of a new year. May we contemplate it anew in our time as we anticipate how the Lord will lead us in 2025!

“Let us remember that character is not the result of accident, but day by day it is forming for good or for evil. Great importance attaches to this work of character building; for it is far-reaching in its results. We are builders for time and for eternity. Few realize the power of habit. Examine your own heart and life in the light of God's Word, and ask yourself, "What has my record been for the year that is just closing? What advancement have I made in the Christian life? What victories have I gained? And what have I done to help others, and to lead them to Christ? God has not placed you in the world to lead an aimless life. He designs that you should be useful, and reach a high standard of moral excellence. To each one some work is given. During the old year have you performed your appointed tasks with cheerfulness and fidelity, having an eye single to the glory of God? Opportunities and privileges have been granted you; what use have you made of these gifts entrusted to you by our Heavenly Father? Have you made yourself a blessing to those around you? Have you done what you could to make them happy and win them to Christ?”
Ellen White, January 5, 1914

The only way to represent Christ and follow His ways is to consistently spend time with Him, in prayer, in the Word, and in service to others. Click here to be redirected to a link to choose the Bible reading plan that works best for you in the coming new year!

May 2025 be the year where your heart grows more united with Christ, your character becomes a clearer reflection of His, and your actions demonstrate the evidence of being His true disciple.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
