Never
in this bride's dreams would she have imagined Tom Hanks photobombing
one of her wedding pictures. Everyone is talking about actor Tom Hanks
surprising Grace Gwaltney on one of the happiest days of her life. She
and her bridesmaids were getting into the limo from their Pittsburgh
hotel when all of a sudden, “He was like, ‘Hey! I’m Tom Hanks. I would
love to get a photo with you' and I immediately froze,” the bride, Grace
Gwaltney said. Nothing like the voice of Woody to make this bride
freeze.
Of
course, she could not wait to tell her fiancé, “We had a moment before
the ceremony and we prayed and we were holding hands and going
back-to-back so we wouldn’t see each other,” she revealed. “Luke, I just
met Tom Hanks. I had to sneak that in there.” This Pittsburgh bride
will never forget this ultimate surprise on her wedding day. That for a
few moments, she was in the presence of greatness.
I
am reminded from this story that we too are in the presence of
greatness every day! Whether we remember it or not, our heavenly Father
is always with us. He sends a representative called the Holy Spirit to
be with us and walk alongside us. This is a great reminder to all of us
that no matter how life is going, God is with us. In the good and in the
bad, in those moments of happiness and sadness, in our ups and in our
downs. God is faithfully there for us and that brings me more joy than
Tom Hanks photobombing my picture.
“So
do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I
will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand.”

So may we not fear or be dismayed because we stand in the midst of greatness every single day and He will uphold us!
