Two Funerals!

This weekend we especially remember the many soldiers who gave
their lives in defense of our nation. The Bible tells us there is no
greater love a person can show than to give their life for another. May
we pause this weekend and reflect upon the incredible sacrifice of those
who died for our freedom. It’s a reminder that someone else died for
our freedom, and His death gives us the greatest victory over the
greatest war. Thank you Jesus for dying for our sins!
Speaking
of dying, this Sabbath we will have two funerals. But these spiritual
deaths will also result in two resurrections! Breanna Canama, a junior
at Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy, will be baptized! She will share her
testimony and how the Lord has called her family to move to the
Philippines to be missionaries for Jesus! And George Khoury, Jr. will
also be baptized. Grandson of our beloved long-time church members
George & Wisal Khoury, George, Jr. will share also his testimony
about how the Lord brought him to the point of realization that he is
lost without Jesus. George, Jr. is current attending Biola University.
Lastly,
after the worship service, we will be serving our community by
providing food, personal hygiene bags, backpacks, and clothing to some
of the unsheltered people in our area. Please feel free to join us. And
if you are able, please bring a backpack to give to someone in need.
